We specialize in skull preparation, European skull mounts and antler plaque mounts for most all of you Big Game.
All skulls are cleaned of flesh by the use of Dermestid Beetles. These Beetles clean every bit of flesh off the bone. No other procedure even compares to the use of Dermestid Beetles.
The the skull is degreased of oil in the bone through powerful degreasers and solvents. A whitening process is the conducted involving industrial strength Hydrogen peroxide and Magnesium Carbonate that produces a lasting, quality finished product. Lastly a clear coat finish is applied to the skull for sealing and to beautify they skull even more.
Unlike a shoulder mount there is no up keep on a skull mount. A little dusting here and there and it’ll look the same in 30 years as the day it was finished. Also, you’ve just saved yourself a lot of money in Taxidermy fees verses a shoulder mount.
